Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller

Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller is the Prefect of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith and President of the Pontifical Biblical Commission and the International Theological Commission. Cardinal Müller was ordained a priest in 1987 and in 2002 Pope John Paul II nominated him Bishop of Regensburg, Germany. Pope Benedict XVI personally entrusted his eminence to publish his collection of writings. Cardinal Müller was made Cardinal by Pope Francis in 2014,  and he is Cardinal Deacon of the Church of Sant’Agnese in Agone, Rome. Some priorities of his ministry include the promotion of the liturgy, culture, preaching, and charitable works.
